Honest comparisons
How Boardroom compares.
These pages are structural and pricing comparisons, not attacks. Every claim about a competitor is sourced from their own public materials, a third-party pricing aggregator, or a government procurement filing — and where we couldn't confirm something, we say so instead of guessing. Where a competitor genuinely leads (native apps, completed certifications, a longer track record), we say that too.
The wedge, stated honestly
Board-portal pricing is normally a black box: contact sales, get a quote, negotiate. Third-party deal-data aggregator Vendr reports a median annual Diligent contract of about $23,800 (up to about $45,800), based on real buyer contracts. Boardroom publishes its price on this website — the Board tier is $179 per seat, per month. An 8–10 person board costs $14,320–$21,480/yr depending on seat count and billing cadence — under that reported median, and computed live on /pricing before you ever talk to us. (That per-seat figure is per seat, not per board — see the per-competitor pages below for the full math and its sources.)
Boardroom vs. Diligent Boards
Quote-only pricing vs. Boardroom's published tiers. Diligent's real edge: native mobile apps, a longer enterprise track record, and completed SOC 1 / SOC 2 / ISO 27001 audits.

SSO is a paid add-on below OnBoard's top tier vs. free from Boardroom's Starter. OnBoard's real edge: completed SOC 2 / ISO 27001 / ISO 27701 audits, native apps, and a granular permission system.

Why publish comparison pages at all?
Board-portal pricing is famously opaque, and buyers deserve real numbers before a sales call. We'd rather publish our own price and let it stand next to competitors' quote-only models than hide behind the same opacity.
Are these attack pages?
No — we don't fabricate feature gaps and we credit competitors' real strengths (native mobile apps, completed certifications, longer track records) plainly, on the pages linked below. Every claim about a competitor cites where we found it.
